Taking in the View

This is Widdop Reservoir - built for Halifax Corporation between 1871 and 1878.
A remote, bleak and rather exposed stretch of moorland which has some quite  stunning scenery.  It's on the top of the Pennines (around 1,000 ft above sea level) close to the border between Lancashire and Yorkshire.
