Walter

Maybe we should be more like Walter
who, when things go tits up,
doesn’t falter. When the world
tilts he grips his cup,
his mug, his pint glass,
his bottle of wine,
whatever he’s on that day,
and doesn’t spill a drop.
He holds his ground
and waits for disaster to stop.
Never been known to refuse a drink
(nor buy a round!)
he’s the man to be, I think.
