Looking out my back door.

I mean really, I have been a fan of CCR since way back when, and ever since I can remember I have always sang the chorus of Looking out my back door as "Gay marines and elephants are playing in the band". Not too long ago S informs me that it's actually "Tamborines and elephants are playing in the band." What dissapointment, what dismay, what embarassment, what rolling on the floor laughing, some things should remain unchanged.
