Vile day weatherise, as evidenced by this group huddled in the bus shelter. Luckily this girl had her ENORMOUS Ikea brolly at hand and didn't need cover.

I, for one, am quite glad 2012 is at an end. It has been two very difficult years, underscored by death and illness. But on the bright side, I did get my PhD and I have fantastic friends whom I love spending time with, and resolve to spend more time with next year. And, of course, I was introduced to blip!

I hope that you enjoy your NY celebrations, whether it be going out on the town, or settling down in front of the TV with a good movie. 2013 .... bring it on!!!
