Enchanted Forests and Ferries

Day two of my little cheeky getaway to the West. This morning was Kelburn Country Estate, and wow did that surpass all expectations. Enchanted forests, stunning woodland sculpture trails with shoals of fish swimming through the trees, one of the most beautiful walled gardens I’ve ever seen, a graffiti clad castle and a stunning Weeping Larch tree that is now my favourite Scottish tree. Then it was off to catch the ferry to Cumbrae island for a fabulous afternoon and evening exploring that in the sunshine. A fish supper on the way home and so many happy memories from my little overnight jaunt to the West.
