Sally Mair - Loving life

Meadowsweet

The weather has been lovely today, such a joy to go for a walk this evening in a sleeveless vest and feel warm.  Just like being on holiday and what we expect from July.

Church this morning, no duties thank goodness as I've been feeling really tired this weekend.  We walked there and back and I went for a snooze when we got home.
That was clearly what I needed as I got going afterwards.  Boiled up my blackcurrants and set them dripping for some jelly, made a first batch of strawberry jam then went and had a sit in the garden for a while.
Had a walk down to Craigleith after watering the garden... the plants in my potato sacks are absolutely enormous, talk about triffids! Hope there is as much going on under the surface too!
The meadowsweet reminded me that it's two years since I made meadowsweet cordial and that it was rather nice. It was my father's favourite wild flower and I never see it but I think of him.
15203 steps today, 4 days done so that's good.
