Big Gig

It's been quite a relaxed day today. We did a few house-jobs, but have otherwise chilled and done fun things. At lunch time we wandered over to the Arboretum to have a look round a community event that's on every year - Our Big Gig. 

We mainly went to take photos, as we had plans to meet up with Jeri and the boys in the afternoon, so didn't have time to stick around. I took this from the terrace, looking out over the event.

After lunch we headed for Daisy Maid fun-farm and ice-cream parlour to meet Jeri and the lads. They enjoyed going in the cars and on the bouncy castle, and we all had a game of Crazy Golf! Not played that since Jae was little!

After we came home, we watched the cricket world cup final - the most entertaining game of cricket I have ever seen! (And I do enjoy cricket!) Either England or New Zealand could have won it all the way through - it was tied when all the overs were completed and went to a very dramatic "Super Over"! England were very lucky to win in the end! It was still tied, but England had scored more boundaries in their innings, and that was the deciding factor!
