125 years of the Totley Tunnel

With many thanks to Northern Rail, the whole school spent the day going through the Totley Tunnel free of charge on various trains! We have been looking at the history of the tunnel for a local history project, including walks on the moor to see the air shafts as well as visiting the quarries where the stone came from.

A fantastic day, thoroughly enjoyed it :)
