Dara and Zillah

Saturday was our first day all together and this really was what this visit was all about. Z seeing her sister for the first time since 2015. It's really great to connect with them again and share the sights, though living in Ontario, they'd never been here either.
We travelled to Staten Island on the ferry for the views, really, really hot. We missed a power cut that happened in Manhattan , which had members of the public directing traffic in the streets apparently and a Carnegie Hall concert that finished in the open air! We ate in a vegan restaurant in Brooklyn and walked the Brooklyn Bridge with three zillion other tourists. Nothing like a big city to make you feel the transience of things and your ant-like presence here.
