Happy New Year

It is New Year's Eve, called Hogmany, where it is traditional to go round visiting friends and neighbours bearing a " first footing" gift of a nip if Whisky and a piece if coal, given with the traditional greeting of, " Lang may your lum reek." Which means, long may your fire burn and the smoke go up the chimney ( long may your house be warm. )
So June and I are having a Brazilian meal at Las Iguanas and then going to the cinema to see The Hobbit in 3D.
Very untraditional.
Happy New Year. tae een 'n 'a
