An excellent day spent with B https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2596830355709231542 who arrived late yesterday evening. After a late start we headed over to Wastwater. A walk up to Burnmoor Tarn through swathes of bog asphodel was followed by a glorious dip in Wastwater on our return (a long-awaited first for me in my dipping odyssey). Lots of little silvery fish jumping.
We were a bit shocked by the volume of 3 Peaks Challenge folk and the support crews. Guess it’s peak ‘season’ for all of that malarkey.
