What big feet you have!

I love moorhens and their oversize yellow feet - and they are quite easy to photograph near to.

Today at Blackford Pond I checked up on the cygnets again who are even more gangly than last week and most of them were clearly wanting a lie-in when their parents took to the water again after their time on the island.

I also saw the little grebe adult and young feeding together with the young one finding it difficult to swallow a whole fish. The fish wasn't very big, but then neither was the little grebe. Little grebes don't seem to find any difficulty in catching fish - they are up less than a minute after diving with a fish in their beak.
