Gulf Island tones with black and red residents

Seen on my lovely row this morning.   Oyster catchers with those red BEAKS and eyes on the beach and a pigeon guillemot with red FEET up on a nearby rocky island...where they nest...  (I know I could make the birds bigger but I quite liked seeing their surroundings…..)

Friends just arrived on their sailboat so we will hear of their adventures at dinner.  

Extra... dinner with our sailboat friends and their Portuguese Water Dog, Sofia,who live on their boat. Sofia unfortunately was delighted to find the baby seal skin remains on the beach for a good roll in it!
