Derwentwater

Had a bit of a lie in before heading out for a walk around Derwentwater. Saw SR and M at Crow park where J’s swim will start tomorrow. Arrange to meet up later for dinner as they were not up for a long walk after their catch up last night in the pub. It was hot and sunny and it was good that we were near the water to get Kilda out swimming to keep her cool. Had a nice walk around the first half of the lake before stopping for lunch. J went in for a bit of a swim and Kilda had her float toy out with her. Took a few photos of the lake before heading back. It’s a 10 mile walk around the lake and we were feeling it towards the end with the heat. Arrived back in time for a quick shower and then off to meet SR, MR and MS for dinner in a pub in town. Kilda was knackered after her long walk and swimming. They all came back to have a look at the camper and have a drink before we got an early night.
