Queue

The queue at my local butcher's for steak pie.

I tried to take a surreptitious side-on picture but I was spotted and had to abandon my plan.

I don't know the origins but Steak pie is a traditional New Year's Day tea in Glasgow. Or is it traditional all over Scotland? I'm not sure about that.
This was just the people who had pre-ordered theirs. The rest of us had no chance :(


I've a nice quiet Hogmanay planned - me and Felix will stay up together. He is very excited - this is the first year he's been allowed to see midnight. He's in my bed now watching The Muppet Show and trying to have a nap so that he'll be awake later.

I don't know if he's expecting something really exciting to happen at midnight - hope he's not too disappointed when he realises it basically involves watching a chiming clock on TV.
