Fireworks...
...that you don't want at New Year! Although it has been another windy, wet and grey day, Hubby and I decided to blow the cobwebs away and get some fresh air into our lungs so we took a walk along the Glencorse view trail in the Pentland Hills. It was somewhat wild, and a lot of my photos have come out 'soft focus' because of the driving rain onto the lens! However, I still managed to get some moody scenic shots.
The walk takes you along the edge of the Ministry of Defence firing range at Castlelaw. The red flags were flying so we kept a low profile! We spotted the live firing range with the large numbers 1-12 emblazoned along the top. It made me rather glad I wasn't wearing a rugby shirt with the number 13 appliqued onto it!
We ended the walk with a lovely little lunch at Flotterstone Inn and a spot of retail therapy at the Gyle Shopping Centre. Now about to settle down in front of the fire for an evening of comedy, drama, port, wine and good food to see in the New Year.
Wishing everyone a lovely evening and all the very best for 2013!
