Thursday: Space Centre and Crab

My colleagues and I had a meeting at the HR MacMillan Space Centre today. We concluded our business so swiftly (partly because they agreed to what we were asking with surprising haste) that the meeting ran the risk of being over embarrassingly quickly. I managed to drag it out a little longer by pulling my diplomatic small talk skills out the bag.

French National Day reception tonight. There was quite a lot of French in the speeches, unsurprisingly. Oddly enough, the phrase I remember best from school ('Haut les mains! Be bougez pas!'*) wasn't mentioned.
