Countdown
7-Spot: Yesterday
6-Spot On the 3rd
5-spot: Today
Eight days ago there were over 50 Burnet Moths at a nearby location - All (as far as I could tell) were the 6-spot species.
Today, at a different local site there were also several Burnet Moths, but this time they were all 5-spotters.
I presume this to be the narrow-bordered 5-spot burnet moth, Zygaena lonicerae, as that is the one with the more northerly distribution (I'm in Fife).
