Scutellaria alpina

After almost  eight years of blipping pictures mainly taken in my own garden, I often seem to repeat myself.  So it's good today to introduce a newbie in this cute little scutellaria, a mountain plant from central and southern Europe and Russia, found between 1400m and 2500m on rocky hillsides.  It seems very happy down here in the lowlands too.  Easy to raise from seed, flowering in six months and should be perennial.  Come back next year to find out :-)

Not sure where the morning went - but it did!   Afternoon with Una.  Lovely alpine meal of Raclette at tea time with cheese I brought back from Switzerland.  Evening packing for the next round of travels.
