Fountain

Thankfully, the thunderstorms that were forecast for today didn't come this way. (Other places were not so fortunate.) It was, however, a warm day.

When it looked as if we were going to escape the worst of the weather, I took a bus up to Stirling (it was in the mid-afternoon) and went for a walk around Kings Park.

The fountain (pictured) was cast in 1934 at the Lion Iron Foundry in Kirkintilloch and restored to its current glory in 2006. I've also added a picture of the Castle taken from one of the viewpoints on the path around the Park.
