Astrantia

It was Open Garden day today in the village so after lunch we headed out to see as many of the gardens as we could. Some were new to us this year.

Of course I wanted to photograph every flower I saw! I dwindled down the blip choices and this is what I've posted. I've known astrantias for years, but this bright pink one was new to me. It may be "Pink Pride", I'll have to look out for it in the garden centres.

A lovely afternoon was had, complete with coffee and cake in the village hall.

Do I have my garden open to the public? No! Firstly, I haven't got it tidy enough, but secondly, my sort of planting doesn't create a tapestry of colours which made other peoples gardens so attractive.
