Cheetah on the Termite Mound

Day 26 South African Diaries.

What an amazing encounter on our game drive this morning! Mr.Cheetah allowed us to get really close to him but these two shots are the only ones I managed to take without leaves blotting out part of his face (sorry about the grass). Trees grow through termite mounds as the termites provide fertiliser for them, then, in turn, the trees provide shade for the termite mounds (and leaves to hide cheetah too).

Finally all my assignments are handed in so I am having a glass of wine to celebrate!
