U3A day out - Back blipped 11th July

We left home early this morning  - and our coach was leaving Thornbury at  8.05.  It was a few minutes late and then it took ages to get up Thornbury Hill as there was a street cleaner there!!  We arrived at Bishops Lydeard at just after 10.00 and we were due  to take the 11.00 train to MInehead,  It was a diesel rather than a steam but still an enjoyable ride.   Our coach would be waiting for us there to take us to Dunster which was our destination.  As we arrived at the coach park we saw somebody was lying on the ground - it was our tour organiser and she was in a bad way.  She had collapsed and hit her head and was unconscious.  The ambulance was called and she was taken to hospital with her husband and another member of the group.  It was quite a sober party that continued to Dunster.  We did hear later that she was slipping in and out of consciousness and being kept in overnight.   we were with And G and decided that a coffee was called for.  We wandered the village and made our way up to the castle.  - we were told that the mill was working today and they were milling flower.  We opted to go the longer way round to avoid   any too steep slopes.  It was fun seeing the mill working and although I didn't go right to the top KG did.  As we got to the mill we went on to the observation platform where the demoiselles were giving quite a display (1st extra) . I know this is not sharp but I was chuffed to get it when the men around me couldn't.  It had just taken off from the leaf and I clicked my shutter.
My second extra is Lover Bridge and we sat and watched the water for a while. We then took the easier route down and visited the Dream Garden where the bee kindly obliged.  There was so many flowers to photograph and I think I took so many but have limited myself to these 3 pictures
It was a nice day and not too sunny but did get humid in the afternoon.  After another drink stop - milkshakes this time we headed to the coach park and left Dunster at 5.45,
