As the motorway was widened, a longer bridge had to be put into the Schelmseweg [Scoundrels' Road] which crosses it. The Scoundrels' Road, you won't be surprised to read, used to lead to Gallows Hill, just north of Arnhem, where said scoundrels would be hung.
