Walking in the rain
On our walk today, we came across Dunvegan Castle on the opposite bank. Standing on a rocky outcrop on the shores of Loch Dunvegan for more than 800 years, the castle is thought to be the oldest inhabited castle in northern Scotland. It has been occupied continuously by the chiefs of Clan MacLeod in an unbroken line stretching back over 7 centuries and 30 generations. At first, it was invisible to the naked eye, but gradually came into view as the mist lifted.
