Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport

We’re at Madrid airport, staying overnight at an airport hotel, before beginning our by-air journey tomorrow morning......
having travelled from the coast on the excellent high speed AVE train.

The airport has quite a name........
Adolfo Suárez was such an important figure in Spain....
the first Prime Minister after Franco, appointed by King Juan Carlos, .......and fondly remembered by many Spanish for his leadership......

And now the airport is setting standards in the CO2 emissions challenge.
