More about Jen....

Seeing Jen yesterday, brought memories of Rod to the fore. Rod was Mr B’s friend from school, Rod’s mum& dad offered comfortable space for him to study, and were very supportive of him generally. Jen and Rod met at university, Mr B & I soon after he qualified, and the four of us became firm friends!
The photo is of Rod performing his best man duties at our wedding in 1976. He was a lovely, talented man, who adored his family and was enormous fun - we shared many great times!!
Sadly, he died very suddenly in his early 40’s from a cardiac event.
Jen has been enormously brave and strong in the ensuing years, their two teenage (at the time of Rod’s death) children were always her first concern, with compassion left over for devastated friends and family, a truly remarkable woman.
The children have become happy and successful adults, who are probably even more compassionate because of their experience.
Rod would be so proud of all three of them, his and their loss is ongoing but we were all so fortunate to have had him in our lives!
