Soup for dessert

Well what a week.   I am now feeling well again which is great.  The tiler finally turned up at 9am, we were told 9.30 so I was still finishing off pegging my washing out.  He set to work.  Unfortunately he managed to break two tiles trying to get them up so that they could be firmly re cemented.  As the management no longer have any spares hubby offered to go and buy some more.  He eventually found a store that had some in stock, they cost less than a dollar each, and that was for top quality ones.

The floor was finished by mid day, but we couldn't walk on it for a couple of hours.  So we went swimming.

Later we visited our favourite Chinese Restaurant.   We had Tom Yum Soup which although full of chilli was perfectly balanced, followed by a chicken noodle dish which was very mild.  The chef then suggested we try his bird nest flavoured soup. It consists of a fruit flavoured soup, with jelly running through it, served with nuts, logan honey and green tea.   It can be served hot or cold, we chose cold.   Then just to play with our minds and taste buds, he asked us if we would like to try his mild curry ice cream.  Naturally we said yes.  It was very strange.  It looked like a rich vanilla ice cream, but most definitely tastes of a very mild curry.  Apparently it is a dish enjoyed by Thai people during the meal.  Once again an enjoyable meal.

We took a song taew home and chatted to a love mother and daughter from China.  They were from Hebei Province, which is close to the Three Gorges.   It amazes and humbles me that people from China are able to speak English, as do koreans.

My extra is of the curry flavoued ice cream.
