Blue skies for a short while
We were up early as we had to move the cars off the driveway as the men were coming back to finish the roof.It was lovely to see the sun and feel some warmth.I managed to sit outside for a while before they arrived and then retreated indoors.I made use of the time by sorting the recipes to go in the last 10 books and got the dinner ready.
We had dinner at lunchtime as Mike had a dental appointment to remove a broken tooth.
So as soon as the men had finished coating the roof with an anti moss/lichen solution ( we’ll see how long that works) and we had finished dinner it was time to head out to Dingwall.
Mike dropped me at Ferry Point .The tide was out so it does not look quite as pretty with the mud covered shopping trolleys and traffic cones that find their way into the river ;)
It was still a pleasant walk .The sun was still shining but a stiff breeze was coming off the sea as it was coming in.
Plenty of wildflowers lined the banks.I laughed at a sheep with a starling sitting on her head.I walked most of the way with a family of ducklings and their Mum.Really tiny so they must have just come off the nest.
Met Mike at Tesco, he was not in too much pain ! Bought the landscape magazine as it has an article about our dolphins. Treated myself to some tealights that smell really nice and some bubble bath that was reduced.
Had a quick walk at Loch Kinellan on the way back. There were no cygnets so wonder what happened to themThey had built their nest in a different place this year and looked more vulnerable. Also looks like the Loch has green algae so not good.
David is still away , despite the terrible wet forecast so hope they were not affected too much !
