It’s a good start to a tour when the translator recognises my name and tells me that she hoped she would get me as guide. This was a surprise but she then explained that a colleague from another ship in their fleet which had been in Orkney recently had mentioned me in a very positive report. Pleased? I was absolutely delighted!

The day went really well. Translator was great to work with and the guests were very happy.

We even managed to find the Primula Scotica flowering at Yesnaby.
