Elterwater

We do love the Lake District so it's often a toss up between revisiting favourite walks versus trying out new routes.
Today we decided on a bit of both. We started off fairly early, thanks to the dogs who are often unsettled whenever they are away in a new place, and walked over Loughrigg heading down to Chesters at Skelwith Bridge for morning coffee and cake. Following our coffee pause, we headed along a circular walk via Elterwater, then back over Loughrigg to Ambleside.
Views were to be savoured, and dogs ready for sleep, as were we, 30,000 steps later !
