"Making my Way in the World"

We were up at 4: 30am today to do our monthly Wetlands Bird Survey. It was eerily quiet - not just because of the few birds around, but the absence of rowers, anglers and joggers, and worryingly few dog walkers. One bird to show itself was this Mandarin duckling.
After breakfast and a nap, I spent some time putting flesh on the bones of my next bus pass adventure, which I shall be undertaking next week - booking train ticket to starting point, printing timetables and booking hotels.
