Last day in the Dolomites. We've had a stunning holiday and managed some incredible walks. The hotel was far better than we expected, with stunning 5-course dinners every night and even a champagne reception and a candlelit dinner one evening (Tuesday)

We'd been recommended a walk by some of the other English guests staying at our hotel. it took us around this amazing pillar of rock, (and near to a mountain "hut" called "Jimmy's Hut" Though the menu was anything but hut-like!

This shot is a 5- shot panorama taken at 17mm on my 16-35mm lens, so the horizontal angle of this shot is somewhere around 140 degrees!

By the end of the 6-days we'd managed to cover a good deal of the area, used countless buses and cable cars/gondolas/chair lifts, and walked over 80 Km. We'll definitely come back - and I'll start looking at ways of putting together a Dolomites workshop, just have to see if I can without too much walking!
