Where the Grass is Greener

We noticed all the animals in the field were lined up along the fence. They were very orderly and all seemed to be looking at us. They seemed interested and quite calm so I wandered over for a closer look. They followed me with great attention, and continued to look at me as I walked past.

I presume they were next to the fence tempted by the long grass growing next to the fence. When we returned about an hour later they were all lying down in the shelter of a tree. We wondered if they thought it was going to rain.

I don't remember if it did rain, but it was certainly cold and I put the heating on in the evening. I do not recall having the heating on very often in July.
