Forest bathing

I was upset this afternoon so I went for a hike (forest bath) even though Samuel (my dog) couldn't come with me. He hasn't been able to handle heat and humidity since he was maybe 3 years old. This morning was cooler than yesterday and he couldn't go far. This afternoon I went without him. I calmed myself down and took loads of pictures. I was harassed by mosquitoes but they didn't get me. There weren't a lot of people out but one fellow had a t-shirt that said, "Take a hike." I didn't realize before today that Rock Creek Park had extensive hiking trails. 

Fortunately, we have air conditioning at home so we just spent some time playing with the toy monkey, his favorite toy. He's even jumped over a vacuum to rescue this toy.
