2012: Bowing out

A brisk afternoon stroll up Calton Hill where preparations were in full swing for tonight's Torchlight Procession finale fireworks.

Just as I was catching my breath getting to the top, the Heavens opened and the hail came lashing down - but why pay for a facial when Mother Nature can do the job for free...?

And then there was a break in the clouds and, as if by magic, a rainbow appeared over the city.
