Lord Birkett Memorial Trophy

When I drove past Ullswater yesterday it was absolutely chock full of dinghies racing and I realised it must be the weekend of the Birkett Trophy....

So, after getting on with some work this morning I hopped on my bike and cycled down to see what was happening. When I got to the sailing club there wasn’t a sail to be seen! I realised that by that time they were right down the Patterdale end so I went for a meander into Fusedale (extra) and by the time I headed back they were all rounding the finishing buoy.

Back home I was able to get the van into the neighbours drive to give her a good wash and charge her battery. Little sweetie that she is.
Knackered now.
