On part of the grounds of Kennilworth Castle early morning.
The trees in the backdrop are growing on top of what was the edge to a moat to the castle, with a modern walkway out of view to the right of the picture which now bridges the moat.
As I understand it the flooded area at the base of this picture (recently flooded) was centuries ago, in the now ruined castles hayday, an orchard of some sort.
Now its floodplain for the 'stream' that flows a few metres behind this picture. How times change!
