The calm before the ..... lively, respectful, inclusive, joyful family service. These are good folks worshipping and working together in their community.

Rivenhall is an ancient village. Until the early part of this century the church stood in isolation. And then in 1848 grave digging located the walls and floor of a Roman villa.

Further excavations revealed evidence of pre-historic occupation of the site dating from the late Iron Age, and the remains of a first century A.D. roman masonry building. There have probably been Christians worshipping at the site since at least 800 AD and probably earlier.

And still worshipping, joyful, today.
