Sometimes only a dog will do

Had a lovely day today. Went to the 9.15 am ecumenical service at the Crichton Church which I can thoroughly recommend. Beautiful organ music and singing and a thoughtful sermon.
Took Bonnie for a walk in the Crichton grounds then listened to the Archers with a cup of coffee in my newly tidied garden.
Late Dunscore Church today, which I always prefer. It was communion. Mark said that your faith should be like an over filled wineglass at a party, always spilling over.
Paragon music and Loch Arthur community's superb Midsummer Night's dream in the afternoon.
Two of my dearest friends have died this week, both in their 90s. Sometimes only a cuddle with Bonnie on the sofa will do.
