First Sunday

Always a date in my diary, the first Sunday of the month. That’s the day of the local Farmers’ Market and where a visit is invariably worthwhile..
Mind you, it’s not the season for shellfish which is one of my favourites, but today I found I could be tempted by tasting of strawberries, home-made bread, pies, fruit juice, and of course the ever popular water buffalo burgers.
I came away with farm fresh free-range eggs which we shall enjoy as a supper treat with toasted bread “soldiers.’
