Flat bottomed girls.

It might even be a flat bottomed boy, not being a hover fly I can't tell the difference, but these beautiful little insects were very busy around my Hypericum flowers this morning. On one flower there were 5 but I couldn't get a photograph of that.

Having done some of my pile of paperwork I went to see the poorly RF so that we could get Murphy to the hairdresser, he has become an explosion in a fur factory! Willis came too and, having dropped Murphy off, we went for a pizza then a peaceful walk along the River Arle, fed the ducks, before we collected a much tidier Murphy.

That was enough excitement for the lovely lady so our planned evening at the hat fair will have to wait till next year.
