Enjoying the embers

Lovely evening spent with friends and after the meal we all sat outside around the new fire pit being tried out again.

I am sure our friends went home smelling like smoked kippers but long after they left I enjoyed sitting in the dark watching the logs glowing- there is something very therapeutic about flickering flames.
