Opening ceremony

Our first challenge was to find car parking near to the event. Details in the programme were a little sparse to say the least. However all was well as we reached the town square with time to spare.

It was difficult to get a photo of all of the nations gathered round in a semi circle so I hope this gives a flavour of the event. The Tour which runs alongside JWOC had its first event of a sprint around Silkeborg. Running in the afternoon is a big change to our usual 10 until 12 morning runs. We all enjoyed the intricate passage ways along with trying to approach the control from the correct side to avoid losing time. Short courses taking us between 17 and 30 minutes to complete.

Tomorrow is the first day to count for both the juniors and the Tour so we now need to be switched on for the navigational challenges. Hoping to cheer on GB too.
