We'll Meet Again

After an early rise, we left my sister in Surrey just after 7 this morning. The weather was lovely and the silvery moon of yesterday's blip illuminated our way to Dover and we were soon waving farewell to Blighty. (Well I was at least!)

The crossing was uneventful and all was going well until we reached Rouen. The traffic was unbelievable and after over an our of crawl, the trusty steed gave a great sigh and spouted steam and boiling water all over the engine compartment!

I managed to get her off the road - just as the traffic started moving freely again! - and refilled her with cooling fresh water. Off we went, gushing steam and a nasty smell, but made it as far as Le Mans, where we are now, ensconced in a nice hotel.

Fed and watered, we feel a bit better, but how sickly our steed is remains to be seen until tomorrow. A few options present themselves, but most are expensive and inconvenient to say the least.

Wish us luck, blippers!
