When two worlds collide!
Isn't it wonderful when two separate pages of your book of life meet? This lovely lady is one half of a Dutch couple who I first met 5 years ago in India and who I now meet regularly at the hotel I stay in on my first arrival in India each year. We have come to know each other, but only when we meet there. This year they said they were coming to Scotland as part of a tour group and would call me when they knew the details. She contacted me yesterday to say they'd be in Edinburgh today. We manged to juggle things and meet up for a few hours. We took them down to South Queensferry to see the Bridges. We met up with Oor Wullie there too, he took some explaining - then a walk along into the town. We had a drink and a light snack in Orocco Pier then it was time to head back into town to catch their train through to Glasgow. An unexpected and very happy visit. Next time will be in India again.
The earlier part of the day was spent in St Michael's with university friends. We had a delicious meal prepared by Anna and John, but we then had to rush back to meet up with our Dutch visitors so the visit was rather cut short, next time will be longer. Old friends are worth hanging on to!
Steps - only 6775, not much chance to walk and I forgot to put my counter on for the first part of the day which compounded things.
