Twelve spotted skimmer

This lovely creature was fluttering around out in front of our house with a couple of blue dragonflies. The blue ones never landed, but this guy settled in on my metal yard ornament, not once but twice, so I was able to get a shot. And yes, he is a guy, because when I Googled "black and white dragonfly" I learned this is a mature male  twelve spotted skimmer.
I learned something new today!
