Upper Hopton Garden Trail
I have spent a wonderful day with ValC and her friend Margaret at a nearby village, just up the road, to walk the annual garden trail, visiting some beautiful and varied gardens - both in size and variety of planting. Some tucked away at the back of houses sheltered by hedges not visible from the roadside, others with magnificent views overlooking the valley and lush countryside. The main pictures was in a huge garden of a new build house with a large pond in the front with Koi Carp in. An amazing rear garden with beautiful lawns, outbuildings and lovely borders and planting. However, this was not my favourite, it was a small , but long narrow one which showed what can be achieved in a small odd shaped space. Some lovely personal touches, both in the plants and a few quirky features.
We enjoyed a sandwich lunch with cake, of course, at the village hall halfway around but time slipped by all too quickly and we had to miss two of the garden.
I have put some extras in as I couldn't find out how to do a collage on the new Laptop so look like I will have to download an App.
