Spanish musicians
After lunch I hopped on the bus to Stirling, just because I hadn't been there for months, and had a wander up towards the castle.
I took a few photos in the Old Town Cemetery, then turned a corner to head up to the castle esplanade and bumped into this group as they spilled out of The Portcullis, where they'd been entertaining the punters.
They were a troupe of musicians from the University of Malaga and looked very striking in those costumes, although I didn't envy them in today's heat.
Extra - this stone in the cemetery, commemorating Lord Robert's Army advances in the Boer War, caught my eye because the places - Kimberley, Ladysmith, Mafeking and Pretoria - are names that I associate with my childhood in South Africa.
The first time I heard of Mafeking was when the man who drove the ice cream van in our neighbourhood used it in a "Knock, knock" joke to me and my pal, aged about 10. I innocently repeated the joke later to my mother, who promptly reported the man to his boss!
