Baffled by science

After a long lie we headed out into Aberdeen. Roz had been wanting to take Maddy to the Satrosphere Science Cemtre since spotting it the last time we were in Aberdeen. It was reasonably impressive, lots of hands on stuff for kids (and roz and I) to play with while learning about the science behind it.

After that we grabbed brunch down at th ebeach then headed out to see my granny for a few hours, which was really th emain purpose of the journey up there.

We had more success with dinner, mainly due to booking somewhere on my Aunt's recommendation then Maddy and Roz retired to the hotel to watch a film while I headed out to see a friends band. I'd suggested to Roz that we see if we could get a babysitter, but there was blues involved which meant there was no chance of her joining me.

The band were excellent, starting off with some early blues stuff then after a break coming out and doing some Fleetwood Mac (Peter Green era) numbers, some Allman Brothers, Some Stray Cats and a great cover of While My guitar Gently Weeps amongst others. It was good to finally catch them as not only was the friend I mentioned the bassist but my guitar had been bought off one of the two guitarists in the band.
